Beach Party Strategy Guide
Captains, welcome to the Beach Party!. This guide aims to give you some insights on target mechanics for this summer bash. Grab a drink with your friends and enjoy the festivities!
Beach BRAWL (lvl 51)
Grab your Sand Shark and battle with or against your friends in this multiplayer PvP + Boss target where up to 9 players can join a single Brawl. Dealing damage to the boss will give you points but dealing damage to other players will give you even more.
Be on the lookout for the friendly Pineapple Harbinger as it will fill your pineapple supply (proto ammo), allowing you to keep firing your most powerful weapon - the Proto Pineapple Shot.
Sand Shark
The Sand Shark is equipped with 6 Built-in weapons:
Scorching Sand Mortar - Use the terrain to your advantage with this weapon. Oil slicks in the target can quickly get you behind mountains, where you can safely fire your Mortar. Don’t stay still for too long though, as enemy players may lock onto you with mortars of their own.
Proto Pineapple Shot - When the battle starts, you’ll have a supply (ammo) of 3 pineapples. These deal heavy damage to players or the Boss but once you’ve fired all 3, you’ll have to re-supply at the Pineapple Harbinger by sitting in either of its Pineapples Auras briefly. Time your refills carefully as other players will likely be nearby.
Thrash Cannon - For enemies that attempt to hide inside the min-range of your weapons, combo this with your Tail Swipe stun and make a quick escape.
Left Fin / Right Fin - These weapons have fairly small targeting arcs, so be mindful of the Sand Sharks slow turn speed.
Boss Info
Name: Rum Punch Mutineer
The Rum Punch Mutineer carries a total of 7 weapons to look out for. In the image above are 4 of the weapons, which are active all the time. While the other 3 Have longer reload times and will telegraph when they’re going to fire.
Rum Punch Rockets (Front/Back) - Both weapons will constantly fire at you as long as you’re inside their arcs. Both are Splash based weapons and the front-facing weapon is a little more chaotic than the rear.
Rum Punch Mortar - A slow moving single salvo shot. You’ll want to keep moving to avoid being hit. This weapon doesn’t have a minimum range so you’ll want to keep some distance from the Boss.
Rum Punch Gatling Gun - Very short range weapon that deals high damage. Careful not to pass through the Boss.
Heat Wave Volley - 4 red weapon arcs appear, to telegraph that this weapon is about to fire. You’ll want to either be inside the gaps between the 4 arcs or far away from the boss. After 6 seconds the weapons fire, covering the range of their arcs with fire.
Pineapple Eruption - The Boss erupts with the Pineapples it stole from the party. A medium salvo of pineapples rain down, covering a wide area in 360 degrees (red circle above). Similar to the Heat Wave Volley, this weapon telegraphs when it's about to fire, giving you time to prepare or run away.
Oil Slicks
Briefly gives a large boost of combat speed while slightly lowering turn speed. Use these to escape to safety, resupply your proto ammo, or aggressively attack an enemy.
Beach Party Boss (lvl 50)
In this Boss target you’re going Solo. Take out the Boss that has been trying to crash the Beach Party.
Boss Info
In this target you’re dealing with the Rum Punch Mutineer again, however there are no oil slicks, and additional enemies spawn in when the Boss reaches certain HP thresholds. This boss is also tuned against the Fenrir, so you don’t need to worry about changing your armors.
Party Crashing Stingrays
One of the enemies that spawn in when the Boss reaches a certain amount of HP. These guys have CM-able weapons similar to those in the Fenrir targets but with a lower chance to evade your CM. These will be great for building your Frenzy stacks!
Firework Carriers
Keep your distance from these slower moving enemies, you won’t want to get caught in the explosion when they die.
