Basic troubleshooting steps for all performance problems

Performance issues in Battle Pirates can be a problem for some players; there are a lot of potential causes for these types of problems and just as many symptoms: SOS errors, Flash crashes, losing connection to battle, long loading times, combat lag, and white screens are just a few. For many of these issues, there are a few basic steps you can take that either improve or resolve the problem for most players. For any type of performance issue, the first thing you will want to confirm is that your computer meets the minimum system requirements to play Battle Pirates; you can find our minimum system requirements in the link below:

If your performance issues seem to be based on your connection with the game, you may want to run a traceroute to identify any issues you are having connecting/staying connected with Battle Pirates; you can find steps by step instructions on how to run a traceroute on both Mac and PC in the link below:

Once you have confirmed that you are within the minimum system requirements, and your traceroute did not indicate any connection issues with the game, there are some basic troubleshooting steps you will want to try that can help with a variety of performance issues.  Feel free to click on the links below for step by step instructions on how to accomplish each step:
