My firewall software is blocking me from accessing chat

If you are unable to chat and are using some kind of firewall software, the firewall may be blocking your system from accessing our chat servers. If this is the case, you will likely see the following message in your chat window:

"You are not authorized to chat. Please use /reconnect to re-join the chat server."

To allow your system to access chat, please try opening port number 5222. For more information how to open specific ports, please do an internet search using the name of the firewall software installed on your computer.
